A little about me

I'm a wife, a mom to two boys, and a dog mom to two beagles. I'm fortunate to spend my days as a stay-at-home mom, and motherhood is, without question, the role I value most.   Being home with my children has given our family the opportunity to slow down, be present, and become more intentional about how we spend our time together.

Outside of motherhood, I'm an avid rap and hiphop listener and will happily attend as many concerts as I can in a calendar year--I'll see anyone once! I also jokingly refer to  myself as Danny Tanner (RIP), because apparently my nervous system operates best when my house looks like no one actually lives here.

So, why photography--and why now?

My relationship with photography began long before I ever imagined turning it into a business.

In 2022, we learned our first beagle, Benny, was sick. Shortly afterward, we found out we were also expecting our first baby. Despite our best efforts, Benny's health rapidly declined and we knew our time with him was limited. Wanting to preserve a few final memories of our family together, I purchased my first camera, a Canon R10. 

Unfortunately, a winter storm delayed its delivery, and Benny passed away in our home on Christmas morning. My camera arrived just 3 days later.

For a moment, I considered returning it. Instead, I decided to keep it and use it to document the new chapter our family was about to enter. That decision ultimately gave me something I never expected: a genuine love for photography.

Since then, I've upgraded my equipment, invested countless hours into learning my craft, and discovered how meaningful it is to preserve the moments that might otherwise pass by unnoticed.

Photography began as a way to hold onto the people and moments I loved most. In many ways, that is still exactly what it is to me today.
